4 out of 5 visits, I am terribly disappointed with Meijer Pharmacy. The wait is often quite long, which I could accept and plan ahead for, except that 5 out of 5 times, my prescription is not ready despite being told it was. Yesterday, I was told my prescriptions should be ready at 12:00. I arrived at 1:00 and waited in line for 15 minutes, only to be told it would be another hour. I came back at 4:00 and waited in the drive-thru line and was told "they are finishing one now, but we do not have all the ingredients for the second." Given my earlier visit, I was under the impression that BOTH would be ready AT 2:00. I pulled around to the back of the drive-thru line and was able to leave at 4:30 with only one prescription. I asked the technician to transfer my prescription to another pharmacy, where it was ready within minutes. I shared my 1:00 experience with the 4:00 technician who apologized stating the previous technician "must have been confused." There is no room for error in pharmaceuticals! Especially when I have a very sick baby at home!
The drive up is always slow. They really need to shorten the process. How many times do I need to give my birth date? With the new smart mouth tech they have, I'll be transferring the rest of my scripts. Oh, when I go in they all act like they don't see you, so you're just standing there till you have to say something. Not the first time for any of this.
I like the products in the store but the layout of the store is ridiculous. Then when you want to go check out it's impossible to do for at least 20 minutes. They never have enough checkouts open and even the self checkouts are backed up for the same amount of time. I hate to go there on a lunch break because it takes up almost my whole hour to grab just a couple of items.
This place is absolutely awful. They can't even keep their information straight. My mother is out of medication, that she needs yet they won't give it to her because according to their system she already got it this month. Even though she hasn't had it filled since the beginning of last month, she's ran out two weeks ago, not even taking it every day. They refuse to fill it because they can't get their stuff together. The meds aren't even a controlled substance. And they mess up on my medication each month. They are awful. Want a good meijer pharmacy to go to? Head to Muncie. They're great and always listen to their customers and they know what they're doing, unlike this place. If I could give it zero stars I would.
