Tia was the public defender for my brother. I won't elaborate on what he did, but I will say that it was his first time ever being in trouble. Tia never returned any phone calls to my mother in regards to the case. My mother is my brothers power of attorney. Tia kept my mother in the dark for so long, that when it came time for trial, she felt like she needed to write her own letter to the judge on behalf of my brother. She is very rude every time we do get a chance to speak with her on the phone. I have never met this lady, but I will say that she really has not done anything good for anyone in my life. I would not recommend her to my worst enemy. She has no sense of urgency, and no tact. Go elsewhere for your legal needs.
Tia represented my girlfriend in a custody case where she charged 750 retainer fee , my girlfriend paid that in full ,the sons father was ordered to pay 250 of her attorney cost which he did in a timely manner, The money was sent to Tia and has not been returned to my gf and it's been a year and a half. I called and made an appointment with tia to ask her when we could get our money back she said she would look for receipts and get back with us and that was two weeks ago , as far as I'm concerned she a crook and doesn't care about her clients from what I see in the other reviews if I could give her zero stars I would but that's not a option
I don't even know where to begin. I will start by saying don't waste your money on this crook. I have been very patient with Tia and she has continued to fail me for over a year. I paid her a thousand dollars up front for her to file for my divorce we had nothing to fight over so it was to be fast divorce I filed January 2016 we went to court but my husband didn't show up so the judge granted me custody of our 4children and for him to pay child support alls tia needed to do was finish filing the papers needless to say it has been s year and he has never received one paper ordering him to pay any kind of support I have even went to her office 3times with my husband so he could sighn the papers to get it over with but she is never there. So with no child support I had to file for section 8 I finally got approved but now since the divorce is not finalised and he has been in trouble before, I am now about to lose everything I have waited and worked on for a year thanks to Tia if she would have did what I PAID her to do a year ago none of this would be going on in my life. But most of all this isn't fair to my children and for her to know the situation and just sit by and do nothing for that thousand dollars makes her absolutely worthless in my book. She should not be allowed to get away with this.
t all. She had a summons served on my father, so she did not even take the time to find my actual address. She will not return my calls and I live 4.5 hours away and cannot make it to the trial. Whatever she needs from me she can get from others who still live in Wabash. I would say that she does not care about people and their time and does not prepare for her cases.
