Helped me get my first home always in and out fast
About two years ago my children and I were in a house fire. Our home had caught fire while we were in bed sleeping, and I just happened to wake and get us all out. We were living in a home that belonged to a friend that lived out of town and were just to do the upkeep on it for rent. We had no insurence on that home and when it burned it took EVERYTHING and we had to literally start from nothing. I had never had a loan before of any kind and no real credit to speak of. The people at Grant County State Bank took a chance on me and helped me to purchase my very first home for myself and, more importantly, my children! THE ONLY BANK IN THIS TOWN WHO WOULD HELP US AND TAKE A CHANCE ON ME! The staff that is there are very nice people! You get what you give there. I have never walked into that building and been treated with anything but respect and kindness. But I also walk in with the same attitude towards them as well! I pay on time and I am never given any grief if I am going to be a bit late. I will never go to another bank in this town, they have earned my loyalty for sure.This is a place I refer my family and friends to, because I know they care about and will take care of their clients to the best of their abilities!
I currently go to this bank, and there are more cons than pros. The pepole there absolutely suck. Every single one of those girls always has an attitude problem excluding one lady. I've been at this bank for nearly a year now and every damn time I come in they are so unfriendly. They all act like they hate their lives!! The environment is depressing. Something has to change for the good of the bank.
The people are pretty friendly, but the bank hours are horrible (not open on Saturdays!) and sometimes you have to keep pestering them about things just to get the information that you need. I stayed there long enough to empty out the account I had...but never again!
